mHealth Implementation in the United States
This project is funded by the Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) and is a collaboration between The University of Washington and community mental health agencies in New Hampshire, Missouri, Washington, and California.
This initiative is designed to implement a smartphone-based self-management program—shown to encourage treatment and improve symptoms for patients with serious mental illness—in real-world mental health clinics. To support implementation at the agencies our project team is:
-
Making training available to agency staff who serve as embedded support specialists for the mHealth program.
-
Identifying champions at each clinic to promote the use of the program
-
Providing feedback to clinics on referrals to and use of the program
-
Developing and deploying a learning management system (LMS) to digitize and streamline training activities.
